July updates at Priory Park, Tetbury

We’re enjoying bringing you more updates about the happenings at Priory Park, Tetbury and our other George Estates sites. These blogs will cover updates for the past month, including tenant news, unit updates and works that are taking place on site.

A new roof for an old building

In 2023 we bought the smaller industrial site that adjoins Priory Park. This site comprised of two main buildings, six individual units, and at the time three businesses. Towards the end of 2023 Jewson vacated their unit, making it easier for us to assess what improvements could be made.

We have been working hard to future-proof the space and a major obvious improvement was installing a brand new roof. Fitting a new roof is not an easy task and requires the building to have a period of vacancy. The new roof is currently being fitted by a team of professionals. They’re working tirelessly to complete the work efficiently and carefully. Unit 5-6 is also having improvements made internally which will make it very desirable for new occupiers. Previously we’ve re-roofed buildings such as our Coates building. This change has not only been a structural benefit to the building but has provided aesthetic benefits. We will be sure to share photos when this work is complete!

Key handovers for our Offices

We’ve been busy signing some new deals with fresh faces at Priory Park this month. We’ll share further details once they’re all settled in but for now we can happily say that Avening F2 has had its keys handover and we can’t wait to see what Erreka do with the space! Priory Park is a great location for office-based businesses; firstly as we’re a 5 minute walk from the town centre, there’s also parking on site and lovely countryside walks nearby. Tetbury is a wonderful town full of character which attracts a wide variety of businesses to our site.

Scientific discovery in our Coates Building?

Behind the scenes, in our small Coates H office Lolan, our resident Scientist, has been trying to answer the space related question, “How do we get fresh water on the moon?” Naiker Scientific have become UK Finalists of the AquaLunar Challenge and they’re using the local Tesco (which is across the road from our site) to assist with aiding their master plan to crack the question. Information about what Naiker Scientific do is best found on their website (as opposed to a vague explanation by myself – a non scientist). We’re so excited to have such talent at Priory Park and we wish them all the best for the final!
